Our club TSV Handschuhsheim is named after the district of Heidelberg of the same name. The first team plays in Germany’s first division. The second team plays in the second division (there are four second divisions).
The first team has been one of the best German teams for many years now. Most of our players come from our own youth but there are always foreign players or players from other German clubs who enjoy to play for TSV Handschuhsheim in Heidelberg. Our goal is to maintain our good position within German rugby.
Our second team is a well-balanced mixture of young talents and experienced players. A lot of students decide to play for us because of our good reputation as well as the close distance to the University of Heidelberg. Apart from giving the best on the pitch the social aspect of rugby is important, too.
Beginners are also welcome.
